Lint rollers is my only guess. A vaccum might work, but I'm not sure.

Spray the carpet with Febreze then vacuum. Works real well around here with 5 cats.

With a subject title like that, I guessed this wasn't a post for Rogaine. I'm thinking your probably not the president of Hair Club for Men or one of its customers.

I have to second the duck tape we have two cats and if it was up to me I'd take them hunting but instead I have itchy eyes and shallow breathing. No wonder I fish so much. Bad enough I have to be around them now I see one of them is my screen saver. After a week of fishing I start to feel good just in time to come back to those **** cats they get awfull skiddish around me when they know I am an excellent place kicker. Anyway sorry for the rambling duck tape and a power wash should do it and change the antifreeze next time and leave the old laying around.
Got to tell you a true cat story my friend had the same delema, cat which the wife loved kept marking his territory on the furniture after many months of this he took the cat which he dispised hunting he came home the cat was target practice. He made me promise to never breathe a word of the actual cause of the disapearing cat. I kept my promise until she cheated on him and he passed away while in the process of divorce. She got most of his life insurance and I got to tell the story.

Chuck,
Get some help with those allergies. They have some decent anti-histamines out now which will stop the allergies and NOT cause drowsiness. You don't have to live with the problem.

Thanks for the replies. Some were certainly humorous to say the least. Cats actually got under the tarps and left their hair behind. I'll try some of the remedies, I'm sure one will work. God bless.
Actually duct tape will work but a cheaper method is to use 3 inch wide masking tape - it has just the right "tack" to pull up the hair, without pulling up the carpet. Also, in constrast to the duct tape - it won't leave any residue behind.
Basically - masking tape is about the same stuff that is on an anti lint roller.
It is just that masking tape is cheaper.
Take care
REW
p.s.
Do the tape thing and get all of the hair off - before putting any thing with moisture in it on the carpet. It makes the job much easier - if you don't work the hair into the carpet by getting it wet.

Nothing better than singing with a tourch, lol
Lint brush or tape will work too.
Then get new cover to keep cats out.
good luck
It will save on duct tape!

.22 long rifle shells work well to solve this problem.

I third the duct tape but I would use it on the cat! Just wrap three legs (or if you want the cat to have a bit of a chance just wrap the back legs) Then find a chained up dog. Tease dog relentlessly with cat. Next toss the cat near the dog house. Next thing you know..........cat hair removal done easy!.......
I have said this with humour intended and would not recomend anyone trying this. #1 You would be in trouble with the law and #2 It's just not very nice to do.
Please do not try this. (trying to cover my rear end on this one!!!! LOL)

gunney sack and a rock is good or one of my favorites is a trip down the interstate with the windows down. most of the time they will jump out on their own, if not you may have to give them a bit of a "nudge" as one of my old hutterite friends would say. see ya--just joking--well not really.

We have 2 cat's both female for a reason male cat's establish themselves and their territory with scent and urine. Males of any species intiminate cats and to show their skills err selves they will mark your couch, corners, your boots etc...Females can also but are a lot less likely to if at all once neutered and isolated from the outdoor enviroment. In my child hood I saw a fire ball zoom into a bush early one morning, when I got to the smoking bush I found a "pink" cat basically scolded and hairless! Scared the crap out of me then but may have served a purpose? Got rid of the hair real well but the cat also! Sneak some Nair on them they will be so cold they may never go outdoors again? Mentioned here on WC some time ago still on the back burner though }> A guy I used to know, his wifes cat would spray his hunting boots and felt packs frequently, that cat secretly disappeared as did other male cats.
A hour drive with him seemed like 2 A real thrill let me tell you!!
Masking tape is the best for this....But if you want to solve the problem and end any messy cleanups place a Doberman in the boat and the cats will have to find somplace else to shed....

Yeap, but you would go to jail for arson if Caught. ;)
A 16 gauge auto at 30 paces helps to stops its spreading thou.
Nothing known to man will remove that smell. Everytime it gets damp it will ooze that smell. Yank the carpet, the pad and if possible the floor below it.

Oh cats in the boat. Man that brings back memories. Last spring I went fishing with my 11 year old son, father in law and brother in law. Got to the lake and took the cover off the boat and what did we find? Kittens that's what. Six of the dang things and my boat didn't smell very good either. Well momma must have jumped ship when I was hooking up the van. I was at the landing looking for a rock and a bag(No, I don't like cats). But with the son along I had to sacrifice my minnow bucket and leave them next to the van at the landing while we fished. I was really hoping someone would "steal" my nice minnow bucket(with the cats of course)while we were fishing. No such luck! Dang honest fishermen! Had to take them home. I don't own a cat(just not in me). Some darn stray got in there. I stashed them in the bushes in the yard thinking momma would come and take them away. Instead I found them back in my boat again. This happened two more times. Off to the animal shelter they went after that.
Man if I didn't have enough of a reason not to like cats before this definitely would have pushed me over the edge. Cat pee and scat in a covered boat on a hot summers day. Pew!!! Washed the carpet with oxiclean and hit if with some febreeze to boot. Much better after that! Man I hate cats!

Shoot the cats... just my $.02 I hate cats, especially farm cats. Kill too many pheasants and make unsightly road pelts.

on the help side... try duct tape (sticky side down). Inexpensive way to pick up hair and doubles as numerous things....
Good Fishin'!!!!

A whole bait bucket of fresh kittens and you didn't even try one Borch? Burlap and a brick improves the catfishing tremendously until you snag the bag! #%%*
