Wanted to say thanks for the tip, was out today on the Wisconsin River. Held off the bottom, tapped every once in awhile to make sure I was still in the zone. Was pulling em in one after the other. Seems easier to tell when you have a fish when the weight isn't hammering the rocks and stuff under you.
Now, how do you get the big ones to bite???
Thanks

Maaaaaaaaaaan.....you don't want much, do you? lol Hey, I just pray alot.
But sometimes you pray for little ones.....
It was '94. Lake of the Woods, Championship, PWT.
Limit was 5 under 19 1/2", one over/day.
Day two.
Biggest in my livewell is 31 1/2".
With In-Fish camera's rolling, for the umpteenth time that day, I release the Lindy Rig/leech to a biting walleye. I get down on one knee...look up to the fish Gods, and pray "PLEASE BE A SMALL FISH, PLEASE BE A SMALL FISH". Well, dummy me, didn't listen to the fish Gods. I stayed there all day. My six biggest were all over 30". Another 2 dozen between 27" and 30".
In practice, I had found a school of 'slots' that made bobbers sink as fast as you could cast a Whiz Kid and a rainbow minnow at 'em. Do you think I would go there after an early 31 1/2" er in the well?
Oooooooooooooooh no. Not me! I wanted to UPGRADE that 11 1/2lber. My boys, who set the hook on many of those bobber slots during the week, never have let the old man forget how important those little ones were.
Yeah....I was one slot fish short of winnin' two finals in two years.
Pray..lol..and listen!
House; A charter member with only one post? That's incredable! By the way do the letters ASRS mean anything to you? Just wondering if you're the same "House" that I know. --- BD
