i have a lowrance 15 mt with the standrad trans. i wallyey and salmon fish. with my old 350 i had the dual trans. Do i need the dual?

For deep water it is suppose to be better. I had one but it did not work right because of all the problems that Lowrance first had with the X-15. The dual is a 50Hz 36 degre and 200Hz 12 degree. I have a 20 degree single which I think works better for Walleye fishing. I think the 12 is to narrow but that is my opinion.........
