Planning to take Dave (a fishing rookie) out on Lake Erie this weekend. We will be chartering a boat out of Port Clinton and will be using crawler harnesses and bottom bouncers. Any advise to get the rookie on some fish...what colors are working, how deep and any advise that you provide would be great. Thanks for your help!

Bill if you are chartering a boat out of Port Clinton they will put you on the fish and have the tackle that has been working for them. Right now in the west end of the lake we are using weapons and bouncers with crawler harnesses. Last week the weather was tough but we still took some fish. Some of our best colors were the diamond cut gold blade in #3&4, firetiger, and bumble bee.
This could be different further east in Port clinton though.
