We had a trip to Canada planned but have just cancelled due to the DWI thing. Two in our group have had them and we just don't need the hassle, we are looking for fun not problems. Can anybody reccomend a good spot in Minnesota or Wisconsin for 6 guyson a budget. We will need a cabin & boats/motors. Also want a great walleye and pike/muskie lake. Any help will be greatly appreciated. We have been going to Canada as a group for a long time and it's too bad we are having to cancel but I guess thats thier laws and tourismmust not be a priority to them.
Thank you very much

I second the Vermilion response. Bayview has a decent bar right at teh resort. We stayed at Daisy Bay for $25/person/night in a large mobile home this winter. Decent, clean, cheap. Also, Shamrock marina is low cost. All these places have good access to fish. Vermilion has a large population of eyes, HUGE pike and 50" musky. Great all around lake.

Rainy Lake. Island Veiw Resort or Thunderbird. Rainy has about as good of fishing as most Canadian Lakes. Kabetogama has resorts that are nice and a little more reasonable and its not quite as big of water as Rainy. I haven't fished Kabby in about 5 years, but I've heard some good things about it in the last 2 years. I'll be fishing there in early June. Very scenic. Stay at Frontier Resort on the Ash Trail or Sand Point or Moosehorn out of Ray, MN.
