Did anyone fish Lake Vrmillion for the opener? Any reports?

no, but I'll be fishing there for the first time in October...how does the lake pan out?

I was on Vermillion on the Monday following opener. I entered at Stuntz Bay and fished around that end of the lake. I went to my usual opener spots and did not find them where I expected they would be. I moved to a point with lots of structure and an adjacent bay where I usually go later in the season. I was able to catch my limit and most of my Moms. Interestingly enough I was finding success any where between 18 and 26 feet of water. Fish were finicky and needed to be called to my lures with shakes, bumps and jigging action. Lotsa Males and no females in my livewell. The males seemed to really like me though as they tried to impregnate my boat. I went on a high sun and clear sky. They seemed to bite at the spot I was at from 9am till about 11am, then the bite slowed to a crawl.
I wish I had more information, but I only visited Vermillion once on the opener. Usually I focus on that lake but I decided to expand and weather helped keep me off of the lake with those high winds.
