For all you inline trolling gurus, there are several different types of these made and I was wondering if they all pull the same and get to the same depth, all else being equal??? Just wondering as I have made several called "crescent" type and would like to get into the zone if someone says "40 back with 2 oz. @ 1.5mph!" They look great and can't wait to try em on erie memorial weekend!

No they are not all the same. Your banana weights will not get as deep as an XPS weight or similar design because of the shape. It will not be alot but your will def ride a little bit higher in the water column for the same amount of line. IMHO your line counters are probably going to make a bigger differance between other boats set ups than your weights will. The most important thing is to be able to reproduce what YOUR doing right, its hard to try and copy someone elses program, just use that as a starting point to see what is working for you.

I agree. I usually have a starting point several feet ABOVE, then work lower if needed. I do this with everything, including snap weights.
