Over the weekend I got excited about ads and deals. The result is I charged out and now own a nylon pack with about 6 big boxes as well as a removable case for smaller items. I could have bought this for $50 at Gander Mountain but it was on sale at Galyans for $30 so there was no choice, I needed it in order to save $$$$!!!

Now that I have it I have rearranged my old brand xxx which is pushing 10 years into it. I have enough parts to fill the new one but I put it together by locale (Oahe/bottom bouncers, big lake spoons, ......) and wind up with an unsatisfatcory solution. Then I put it together by species, same answer.

My favorite fishing partner (son) is expecting their 2nd child in June, he is out of running and after the first he slowed down alot anyway.

My question is: Where can I donate this where it will be appreciated? The dilema is that anyone who has this will probably not be able to fill it up!! A possible answer may be a club or organisation where much equipment is shared between recipients.

If anyone has a viable solution, the box is there. Just reply.

Kids need to fish too.

I don't have an answer for you, but just wanted to say I think it's great of you thinking of getting it into a kids hands. Some kid will flip for it and dream of filling it up. It's funny how we end up filling the space we have. My dad always had this big old all silver tackle box that opened up two ways(I'm sure most of you have seen them), anyway he always had it filled with the latest new lures, artificial bait, etc... my brother still has it with much of that stuff still in it. Who knows, maybe some kid will keep it their whole life!! Good going!!

I agree with donating it to an organization. How about a fishing club that takes handicapped children out fishing?

find a local tournament and donate it to the youngest fisherman or have a name in hat drawing for the youngest people in the tourny by keeping it local you might have the chance to have another partner for more good times ahead

Bingo!!!
Thanks for the replies. There is a kids tournament in June in conjunction with a much larger (dare I say it here?) muskie tournament that seems to draw alot of participation and the sponsership is first class.

Along with the tackle box I also have some Quantum closeout rods/reels from the last change of ownership that were essentially free. These too will go.

This was so obvious, thanks for pointing toward tournament vs a specific organization or club.
