View Full Version : ? For Mike Michalak Garmin 2006
Mike, I have a Garmin 2006 and want to have the contour for the winnebago chain. All 4 lakes. I bieleve that region 7 has all these lakes. If I order this is it a chip or a down load that I recieve from fishing hot spots? Is region 7 correct? I have asked rep's at some shows but keep getting different awnsers. Thanks for you help.

I'm sure not Mike but you can go to the Garmin cartography site http://www.garmin.com/cartography/mapSource/fhs.html and see the hot spots CD. It gives you a breakdown of all the regions and what lakes are on them and they even have a viewer that you can use to actually see what the lakes look like (yes, you can go see your specific lake and what it will look like when displayed on the GPS --- talking about user friendly customer servicee). You can buy the CD directly from them or from previous posts on this list, online marine is a good, cost effective place to buy them. Now, can you tell me how you like your 2006. I've been trying to decide between the 182 and the 2006 but have not been able to see one in person anywhere yet.
I haven't tried it on the water yet by I did much research and I think this has the best detail. The reason I got the 2006 over the 182 is for screen size and I think the detail is more defined. I'll post more once I get to use it on the water.

You're correct, that Region 7 has the Winnebago chain data. However, you'll get the product from Garmin or one of their retailers, since it isn't a Fishing Hot Spots product.
The Website in the prior post gives you the info to get it online. If I can help with anything else, drop me a note...and good choice on the 2006. Good luck on the water!
