Just had my trailer in for bearing repacking & the shop found one of my welds at the spring shackel had broken. All that was holding it in place was the weight of the trailer & the rear welded shackle. Very glad I had the bearings redone this year. He welded it back in place and I'm good to go. Just wondering if ayone else out there has had this happen? 2002 Karavan 3100 lb trailer. It happened sometime last season because I had the same dealer go over the brakes last Spring. I do recall hitting a major pothole at about 65mph last year-maybe that did it??

Yes Sir, just one more reason to realy look over your trailer when the boat is in the water. Just last week I noticed a brake line broken at the caliper. Then while fixing this the culprit was one of the caliper bolts had fallen out so the caliper was riding on the wheel hub. if not noticed theis could have been a desaster in the making. Again look over your trailers real good when the boat is off, Tighten bolts and check welds.
