Just returned from three days near Land O' Lakes WI. Land O' Lakes is in northern Wisconsin right on the Michigan border. Very, very windy. Saw and heard lots of trees crashing down on the shorelines. Several times we had to move small trees and large branches off the road so we could get through.

Walleyes were mostly post-spawn, caught good numbers on stand-up Fire-Ball jigs and Weed-Weasel jigs on rock points and in the newly emerging cabbage. 4-7 feet of water.

Fished crappies one evening, caught mostly smaller males, couple of 12-13 inchers.

Land O' Lakes is a great area. If you're ever there, stop by the Forest Lake Country Store for a pizza or a sandwich. If you're interested in a guide, Patrick Sheahan does an outstanding job, as does Bruce Becker.

Best Fishes,
