HDS maps

I've got an HDS 10 with Insight. I may be getting senile, but I swear I remember panning in on LOTW a couple months ago and seeing incredible detail. Now when I look, I see almost no detail. When I switch from Lowrance background to Navionics, I get much better detail (but still not as much as I'd like - no contour lines).

I just installed the recent HDS update. I only have two background options - Lowrance and Navionics. Anyone having the same trouble?

What area are you talking about? Post some pictues with the lack of
detail that you think you may have had before. Do you have all the
map catagories checks?
But no to answer your question I have not noticed any lack of detail
sense I did the update.

LOTW - I got it, Lake of the woods, I'll check that out!!

No detail at all on the Lowrance maps. My HDS is a USA version.
I don't use any lake maps. Maybe someone else has something to add.

Here are several screen shots near Monument Bay. I'm sure you can tell which are the Navionics shots and which are Lowrance. Yes, all categories are checked, and settings are the same for both Lowrance and Navionics backgrounds. In looking closer, I guess there are a few contours with Navionics (Premium Canada '08), but nothing like what Insight or even Navionics typically shows for other lakes.

This looks like there is no Insight coverage for LOTW, but as I said in the OP, that was one of the first areas I checked a couple months ago. Where did the detail go????

Thanks VaGuy. I think my issue is more related to Lowrance and their Insight mapping than to Navionics. However, Greg may be able to help with the lack of contour lines with the Navionics card. I'll give him a shout.

Hi there was on lotw my detail was great,,looks like your not zoomed in enuff.By the way i have also an hds10
