Are all transducers the same or are shoot thru hull ones different?

I have a Lowrance X52 on my bow and I'm tired of dealing with the transducer line running down my troll motor where to where it's mounted on the bottom of it.

Can I mount this transducer to shoot thru my hull like my other transducer for my 520C is? Or are shoot thru hull transducers different?

You can mount any puck or skimmer style transducer to shoot through the hull. Make sure it's in a flat level spot that will be pointing straight down into the water, make sure it's against the hull not against a raised floor, make sure it's in a part of the hull that will be in the water, and if you mount it in the bilge be aware that you'll have interference issues from being close to your other transducer.
