I had bought new 3 years ago a Lowrance LCX26C HD that came with a LGC2000 GPS antenna. I had removed that from my console and replaced it with a LCX38C HD and replaced the LGC2000 with the LGC3000 antenna. I lost the LGC2000 antenna. Will the LGC3000 puck work with the LCX26C HD or do I need to use the LGC2000 puck?

Either puck will work with your unit.

Either puck will work with your unit.
The difference between the two was the 3000 puck was updated for the Nema 2000 network
Otherwise they work the same

Same wiring? I thought I just do the simple twist with the 26 and the 38 the wiring for the GPS screws into the back?

I just updated the software in my LGC-2000 last night. Now it is recognized in my LCX-37c and GlobalMap 4800M as an NMEA 2000 device.

Walteye " If you want to network the 26c with the 38 and use the LGC-3000 for both simultaneously, you'll need a red network kit and a blue unit to red network adapter cable. I did something similar earlier this year. I built a red network and added a new LCX-37c, 2 EP-60 fuel meters, and my old LGC-2000 and 4800M. It all works great, and I can share the one gps antenna and the two gps's communicate with one another. It's magic...
If you would like more info on how to hook up an NMEA 2000 network, here is a tutorial that I wrote for another fishing site:

To use the LGC-2000 on the same network where the LGC-3000 was installed you will need to get a Blue to Red network adaptor. They have different connectors on them.
