I have a Lowrance lcx-16ci and I recently installed a Navionics Hotmaps chip. I like to zoom in tight so I can see the minor corrections I make while moving. Now I can't zoom in any tighter than 1/4 mile (I think). If I take the chip out, I can zoom in much closer on my waypoints. Why is this? Is there a setting I can change or am I limited on my zoom scale with the Hotmaps installed?

What software version are you running? I am betting you might need an update.

Let me know if I can help.

I am running the latest software version 3.1.0. The tighest I can zoom in with the Navionics chip is 1/16nm, not 1/4. My mistake. With the Navionics chip out, I can zoom in to .04mi which would be 1/25mi. I am guessing the 1/16nm is the built in scale of the Navionics software. I just found it is easier to navigate along a breakline if I can zoom in tighter.
