I'm trying to mount a depth finder on the bow of my Lund 1660 Classic. Under the bow deck there are several unused wire cables and connectors; however, I tested them with a meter and there does not appear to be any power to them. I made sure I had the master power switch on the console on, but still no juice?
Wondering why they would put extra connections up there but no power to them, or am I missing something?
Appreciate any help.
Thanks.

If I remember correctly on a couple of my Lunds there were orange wires that were run in the boat with nothing connected to them. These were there from the factory.

I also had a couple of empty spots in my fuse block. I looked at the back side of the fuse block and saw that there were orange wires exiting it. I placed a fuse in the empty slot and one of the "free" orange wires now had power.

Having said that, I want to remind you that most locators recomend runing a power/ground wire directly to the battery to help eleiminate any chance of interference. However, some people run them to there fuse block with no issues???

Good Luck
