The Wyoming Walleye Stampede was one heck of a rodeo this past weekend May 30th ans 31st with 93 teams competing for over $34,000 in total cash payouts. Day 1 ended with the team of Jason and Merle Vowers bringing in a 5 fish basket of 34.17 pounds. Some great weights were brought in with 6 teams bringing in over 20 pounds a each. Big Fish on Day 1 was brought in by the Vowers team with a 29.5 inch, 9.51 pound Walleye.
As day 2 unfolded many anglers seemed to struggle with those big fish caught on day #1. The team of Rick and Mary Walter from Casper Wyoming proved that consistency would perservere and to add to thier day 1 weight of 28.43 pounds added a second day total of 20.84 pounds that would give them a 2 day total of 49.27 just edging out the Vowers by 1.39 pounds. Big fish on day #2 was brought in by the team of Pollard and Nelson measuring 30.5" weighing 10.51 pounds. Full results should be posted soon on WC and the WyomingWalleyeStampede.com website.
