It just says Trollmaster TM212 on it. The box also says "Mercury 8 and 9.9 hp 4 cycle Remote control, 2005 and newer"

Where did you buy it from? Cabelas? Doesn't say anywhere if it is the 2 or not. May I ask what the original price is as that will help tell the difference.

I actually work for a dealer that ordered the wrong part from Merc. We were selling this originally for $279.00, but it was the wrong one.

Merc will not accept returns on opened electronics. Therefore, here I am trying to sell it.

I talked with our Merc technician. He is not certain, but believes it is a 2.

fondy, that unit is outdated and can be had new for around $200. Actually after looking at it it does not even have the full throttle switch so it is the basic one that used to be sold...

if you want to sell it for $125 I would be interested since I would have to adapt it to fit my motor

I can get the one with the full throttle switch for my exact motor from Controllking for $205
