HDS 10 zoom problem

I just bought this unit and when I have the lake master chip in and try to zoom in the screen will go blank.I can not get it back unless I remove the chip.Once I remove the chip the screen comes back I then put the chip back in zoom in alittle more and it does it again.If I leave the chip out I can zoom in and out with no problems.Anybody have any advice?

Try cleaning the contacts on the card, use a pencil eraser to shine them up and get all the dust off the card before you put it back in the HDS unit. Try reseating the card in the card slot once or twice if you haven't done it already. If it still doesn't work try borrowing a card to try in there to see if it's your HDS unit or card that's causing the problems.

Same problems with 8 and 10 with Lowrance chip. We are waiting for another upgrade to an upgrade.

In a couple of years they will get it all straighten out and then they will change to something different and it will start all over again!
