What's the best way to mount a transom mount transduder on the back of a Ranger 619. I heard there was a plate that took the curves out so the transducer fit square, anyone heard of this?

The only mount I have ever seen is custom made for Frankies.
I just put a couple on over the last week.
Give Debbie a call.

Magic:
Why do you want to mount a transducr on the back of your 619 Ranger? Do like I did had mine epoxyed in by the Ranger dealer. No more worries of the transducer or hanging out the back. The transducer gives a reading as good as hanging out the back. And no holes to drill.
I have the block from Frankie's on the back of my 619 and
a glassed in hull transducer. The rear mount transducer is the
way to go for low speed. You WILL SEE MORE. (if your a Bass or Muskie guy then it won't matter, how hard is it to see weeds or a 3-4 ft fish.) Now High speed is a problem. At 45+ mphs the rear Transducer gets to much wash and Cuts in and out, the glassed in works great.
If you looking for the Best solution I would do both.
Good luck,
Ed

Hey,
What's with the muskie guy shot?
I have used both glassed in and external ducers on Rangers. If you glass them in right, you don't loose enough sensitivity to even notice. However, it takes me an hour to do it right.
I do run a Pinpoint system, so I can just look at my front ducer for a "clean" look at the water if I want one. I have to also say that the 240kh ducer that's in the Pinpoint shows me a whole lot more than any 200kh I've used.

I thought about having it put in by Ranger but the last dual frequency I had was bad so I didn't want to do that! I have an in- dash flasher with the transducer through the hull for fast speeds.

Where exactly are you mounting the external transducer on the 619. The one that had fiberglassed in by the dealer does not work properly, it seems like it is cutting in and out on the screen. Any suggestions.

I am mounting it on the back transom, opposite side of my kicker. It's curved there but see the earlier post on this and call Debbie, they have a plate that will straighten it out for a transducer.

Does anyone have any pictures they could email me! I am also having trouble with the glassed in ones on my new 620. The dealer used a skimmer type. It doesn't look the same an the trans on my tolling motor! I would like to mount mine on the transom also!

Do they come in white? I also see you drilled a hole through the transom for the wire to come out! Is that the way you mount all of them? I would be mounting mine on the port side is there a problem with that mount? please let me now thanks
