Lcx 19c Trouble anyone?

We were out Saturday doing fairly well when all of a sudden, my Lowrance LCX 19c had only vertical color lines on it, turned off and then on same thing
tried disconnecting the GPS and Sonar transducer, still no change
also tried both the soft reset and the hard reset without any change
still beeps when you press buttons, but cannot display anything other than the vertical color lines.

Just wondering if anyone has been through this before and if Lowrance repairs such things...I sure hope so

Oh, fishing was at Wetstone bay on Francis Case, crawlers and minnows both working well.

It doesn't sound good. I would check the voltage and ground to the unit, have not experienced this before but that is about all it could be other than the unti it's self. Lowrance does have a rebate offer for users of the LCX-19C so check it out of worse comes to worse.

What's the rebate offer on the 19C?

Sounds about like what happened to my 104c this spring. It looked like watching a TV without an antenna hooked up. Sometimes when I powered it up, the entire screen, including depth readings and all map names were reversed. I got a rebate from Lowrance when I purchased an HDS unit. Still waiting on the check to come.

I don't think that Lowrance services the x19s any more. I'd check the voltage to the unit. If someone else has the same setup, try putting it on their boat as an outside test.

Checked the powers and grounds, everything is good, pins are clean and the finder fuse is clean with no corrosion, thanks for the suggestions.

Talked to Lowrance they do not service anymore and they believe its terminal

My displays powers up frequently upside down. Lowrance will not repair the unit anymore. I was offered the same coupon discounts listed on the site. I am still not satisfied and am still dealing with them. A $2000 piece of equipment should be backed up for a longer period of time...rr
