Does anybody make a decent lure retriever for snags? Homemade, commercial, foregn, or UFO (underwater funky object).
I ain't poor yet. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~But it won't be long.

Thanks guys.

I use the "Hound Dog" lure retriever, it works well if it's calm. If it's windy(which it usually is here in the Dakotas) I just pull and if I get it back that's great, if not, well my reaction would depend on the crank lost:)

i got some retreivers off of a fellow at pymytuning this summer that worked about 80% of the time, they were made of a hunk of lead with a big paperclip molded into it and all you did was weave your line thur the paperclip and let it slide to the lure give it a few good pops and the lure would be free, when you reeled the lure in the retreiver came along for the ride, they worked quite well for 50 cents a peice.

Not a bad idea, maybe tie a tag line on for couple of bumps?

Take a old spark and attach a large snap swivel to the side electrode, then bend the electrode until it touches the center one to keep the snap swivel in place. When you get snagged, clip the snap to your line, let it slide down while keeping the line tight. When it hits bottom, give it a few pops to free the lure.
