Recent runoff has flooded shorline willows on my local lake and we have found walleyes in the them. Wondering if any one had any tips for fishing them, bottom bouncers snag to much!

Drop anchor, throw out a weedless jig with a 1/2 crawler or leech. Just got back from a KS lake with flooded willows and cat tails, we threw cranks into the gaps and openings in the willows and pulled out some nice walleye. 5' deep with the wind blowing into the willows. When the wind quit so did the fish. :)

try a bulber with a lindy rig and split shot

I read an article (meaning I have no real experience) about using spinnerbaits for walleyes. You know- those goofy "safety pin" lures. These lures are pretty weedless (actual experience here), so what if you combined something the size of a Booyah Bait Pond Magic with a piece of crawler or leech? That Booyah is a smaller spinnerbait - 3/16 oz. A Beetle Spin with a Twister tail would probably work as well and I know walleye take those.

Anchor up and slip bobber.

Troll along the windblown shallows pitching cranks, plastics, and or jigs into the goo.

If it's flooded ground, they are in there for bugs, other crawly stuff, and the stuff that eats that stuff.

Gopher Tackle makes a spinnerbait called walleye WBS, specifically for bait, ie. chubs, crawlers, also pitch weedless jig as described.

Spinnerbaits work for walleye. I used them for years in weedy/woody water. I'd suggest, however, that yoiu throw something cheaper into the branches. Hangups result in fewer tears if what you lost didn't cost much.

In any flooded timber, I love to use slip bobbers. Leech or 1/2 crawler underneath works wonders.

Don't tell anyone but I like mimic minnos in the sahallow water. They only have one hook which is on top of the lure so they snag less than a crank. I like the 1/4 oz models. Pitch them out and crank them back in. I do not jig them I fish it like a crank bait

I use suspending crankbaits like (wally divers, rssr). Use the size the to the depth of the flodded willows. Cast out and reel in, if you bump a willow stop and let the crank rise over the brances and crank again. If I do hang up I move in over the crank bait reel up with the rod tip pointed down in the water over the crankbait and pull it out.
