Does anybody out there own one of these rods. I was thinking of buying one and was looking for some input, does anybody know who makes these rods for Cabelas?
Thanks

I have had 2 of these rods for 7 yrs. They have been on several Canadian fly-in trips with me. One is a 2 pc. 7 ft. trigger rod for lakers and northerns, the other is a 6 1/2 ft. 2pc. spinning rod for everything in the lake. They have proven to be very sensitive and durable under all weather extremes. If I ever break one of these, I will certainly replace them with the same rod.

Excellent quality for the price!

I have several of these rods and have had very good luck with them. Most are model #604 med. /fast action. I use them jigging and pulling cranks. At times, you can find them in the bargin cave with a little bit broken off the tip and repaired. I really like the feel of them for just a little stiffer jigging rod, and the price is right! Sensitivity is very good, just a slightly heavier blank then their higher end rods.

Fish Eagle II two rods nibble, nibble? The Fish Eagle II reel with rear drag will proably be my next rear drag. As a combo $60 dollars for rod and reel. The 2000 body reel felt good a little slower then 6:21 but what the heck. Some of the tourney II rods that are combo with them were pretty good for load and would cast well too. Employee could not verify whether 8.5ft could be purchsed with combo price so they lost the sale and I needed two. I am a little confused now with the rod any how, the BPS Microlight has come out with a Tennesse cork grip handle which makes balancing "any" reel to the rod a snap. Something which once you get used to you just learn to tolerate the rest ;)

When the Fish Eagle series rods first came out, Loomis supplied them to Cabelas. Don't know if that's still the sitution but I do know that Loomis made Cabelas Crappie system, match Rods and Zander rods too.
Save a lot of bucks buying the Fish Eagle II rods from Cabelas, especially if they're still supplied by Loomis.
I've had an 11 1/2 ft Fish Eagle II noodle rod for at least 8 years and it's held up fine.

From what I understand, they are Loomis Blanks. I have a couple Fish Eagle XML's and a couple Platinum ZX's. The ZX's are supposedly GLX blanks. All I know is they feel great & help me catch fish. Good luck!
