I was wondering if anyone has seen those new rod socks that just came out? There was a guy in St. Cloud selling them at the Sportsmans Show that they had up there. I think it is the same company that makes the Drift Control Sea Anchors. I know they are the same color. If any one is down at the show this weekend and see's them please reply.
Thanks

HI my wife and i just completed making about 50 rod socks for all of my tournament rods . We saved alot of money by going to a material store and buying it by bulk.I cut them and she sowed them on her machine. It cost a quarter of what we would have paid at cabelas or basspro, granted these are not the ones you see at the shows but they are an exact duplicate of the cabels rod sock and they do work great.

You may also want to look at www.anglerspride.com/promotions.htm They too have rod socks. I think they are great. Keeps things organized and most of all, prevents the tangles when putting more than the two thatw ould otherwise make a mess in a rod locker!
good luck,

There is a cover that will cover the entire rod AND reel. This is especially nice in a crowded rod locker. Having the reel covered as well really prevents tangles and damage to your equipment.
Now if I could only remember where I saw these darn things...

I second the idea on checking out Angler's Pride. Kay from Angler's Pride is now making a Rod Wrap that also covers the reel, so contact them and speak with her. She has made custom items for me in the past and I was very impressed with the quality of product she produces.:) In fact she may be the person from the show your referring to.
Good Fishing to All!!!:)

Hey Jesse I think I found what you are looking for. They guys from Drift Control had them down at the Mid West show. I picked up like 12 of them they are really nice. They had a deal going at Capras that if you bought 4 there you got the 5th one for free. I ended up with 3 of the free ones. They make them for rods of all sizes. You shoul check them out....
