Has anyone fished Sacandaga Lake in NY for Walleye, not the Great Sacandaga. I am looking for some info on where to start and any techniques I should try this time of year. Thanks in advance.

Howdy Jay, I've only fished th Sacandaga Lake once for Walleye and got skunked. However I lead line troll on the resivoir with crank baits and bang plenty of eyes. I would try this.

Thanks judd107, I appreciate the information, this will at least give me a good place to start. I have not done much Walleye fishing but I have caught them while Muskie fishing. How deep should I be running my crank baits this time of the year and any suggestion on what general types of lures I should use? Thanks again.

Well Jay, I'll tell ya. I have not been doing super lately, but I'll generally use Cotton Cordells Ripplin Redfin. This lure has the best action I think I've ever seen at slow speeds. I'll also run as tight to bottom as I can without hanging up every two minutes. I can't say this is the only way I get em but I never get skunked. Good Luck I hope you do well. Let me know. Judd
