Big enough for the HBird SI or does SI need the 7 inch display?

When it comes to SI bigger is better. I have the 797csi and I would not give it up for anything. If running SI and GPS it gets tight duable but tight. If I had the bucks I would have the 997csi or the 1100 series.

Buy as much screen as you can afford. It needs to hurt just a little. If it hurts to buy a 798, then buy that, but if it doesnt hurt, then you probably should go with a 997, because if it doenst hurt, you will regret not buying the larger screen.

depends on what boat you are mounting it on. On my Pro V, A 7" is Plenty. Anything larger, Will hit my windshield. Plus it is large enough to see my split screen, and I can rotate the unit to see it when I am running my trolling motor at the front of the boat.
