suzuki, need help

launched the boat tonight, no water coming out of the motor. I only have about 25hrs on the engine. The lake is full of green algae. One guy told me that it plugs up the outlet port. Hesaid to run a wire into the outlet hole to unplug it, thats what his dad has had to do with his merc. The problem is that the suz has a cap on it with just a small hole in it on the outlet, can i pry that cap off or what?!!

I have to clean the hole on my 70 hp out all of the time. Just take a small wire and clean out the small hole in the cap. You can also take the cap off but I dont think you will need to. I dont think it hurts any thing if the hole is pluged you just dont have the peace of mind of seeing that stream of water.

Thanks for the help, I also talked to a dealer who said to blow it out with an air compressor
