Is anyone running a pro v with a prop other than a ss tempess? All I have ever seen on them are tempess for the bow lift. How do some of the other props perform on a IPS2 hull?

well i have 21 tempest but thinking of trying a 19 rev4. i always have heavy load and i think the rev4 would give me better performance. plus i need to step down since im only getting 5700ish rpm with full gear and 3 people. just for grins i tried a buddies 22 stern drive 4 blader and same top end but only 5500 rpm...thought that was interesting.
oyea...local dlr was telling me that the only prop they rigged their pro v's with verados was a bravo 1..which is a 4 blader. he claimed that he toyed with a 1900 with 225 verado and clipped 70mph with 22 bravo 1 and raising the motor...i dont know man but its what he claims and off a gps. he tried all kinds of props and settled on the bravo 1 as the fastest.

The Mercury Mirage is not a bad prop and performs similar to a Tempest with a little more diameter
My boat is not a pro-v but it does have the IPSII hull (1825 Explorer) and I run a factory stainless 21p prop and its about perfect. Motor is a 150 honda.

I had real good luck with a Yammi Pro Series Stainless on a 1900 with 200 HPDI

Yes. This was the solution.
pn. 23-856163A1 drive sleeve bushing used on trophy and tempest props to keep the prop allined square to the prop shaft.

I'm in the opposite situation. This year picked up a new to me 07 19 Pro-V with 225HP Verado. Boat came with a 21P Rev 4. The 21P Rev 4 got a full boat (3 big guys, and full gear) right up on plane but in my mind was poor on performance otherwise. At it's best, I had the Boat w/2guys and half full, maxing out @ 5500 RPM's and 55 mph on GPS. Motor should max @ 6400 RPM's and in my mind 60+. After discussing with Propmann (great input), in an effort to gain RPM and speed :driver: I picked up a Tempest 19p through him and just put it on the boat. Unfortunately, I haven't had the chance to get it on the water yet. Happy to share details when I finally do. I will also have a 21p Rev 4 for sale if the Tempest does improve the performance... Good prop, just don't believe the best for my setup. We shall see!

We sold a whole lot of Lunds with Yamahas and with Verados.
Tempest Plus props were the best performers for almost all.
However... some specialty props will address special needs in some situations.
I'm running a 21 p Enertia on my pro V. 2025 and 275 Verado.
A friend of mine has been running Pro V's for years. When he had Opti power he ran the High 5 prop religiously. Since switching to Verado power, he runs a Tempest.
I may pick up a Tempest as a spare, but really don't have any issues with the Enertia.

Tritons are acceptable. We catch fish, sometimes. Stroh's however is a stretch...

You bring all the Strohs you want. I'll help you lighten the cooler for the trip home. I grew up near Berwyn IL, it doesn't get any more Bohemian than that.

If anyone is still interested in the difference. Finally got the boat back out this weekend with the new 19P Tempest. Suprising to me, the boat came right out of the water and on plane faster than I recall the Rev 4 did. At WOT I pulled out just over 6000 RPM's and 54mph with a pretty full boat. There was some porpoising and a bit squirrely at WOT. After discussing with propman, I'm going to move the engine up one notch to see if that will help with further improved performance - right now on second hole from top. Looks like the Tempest 19P is going to be the right fit for it though.
