Appreciate info on where I can find 1/2 oz banana jigs. The ones I've found have been either smaller or larger than that. Thanks.

Due to lack of an overwhelming response, I kept googling and found them under banana head jigs - and on sale at Cabela's to boot!

Wwwwell, Ron,
If it's any consolation, at least the walleyes won't have been acclimated to them, as it appears few folks use them! Just trying to put a positive slant on it. :)

Lots 3/8 and under and 3/4 and over. Don't know why 1/2 was an oddity, but that's what I needed to hit the desired depth with an appropriate amount of line out. I use only white and chartreuse, but they didn't have those. I selected "silver shad" so will have a new life experience. :)

Yeah, sometimes you just have to have exactly the right size in order to get it in the desired range. I pour my own heads, and I've always wondered what factors determined the sizes the mold manufacturers offer. Sometimes other sizes would be welcome.
I sometimes use tin for pouring instead of lead, as it weights a bit less, which is sometimes desirable and still gives the profile I am seeking.
Re: The heads you bought - you could try painting a few to see how that turns out. Take some paint with you if you are going on a trip, and if it works, paint some more for over night drying.
