How do I transfer old waypoints from a card to my HDS 8? I've looked and tried everything, am I overlooking something? Thanks for the help.

Put the card in the card reader. Good idea to remove any chart card.
Press pages, move to "waypoints, routes, trails" and highlight "files", press enter.
Highlight the memorey card and press enter.
Look for the wpt file. It should be data.usr, or for sure ends in .usr,
Press import.
Now check for wpts, they should be there. Only takes a few seconds.
It works, I did this on my HDS 8 as I was typing.

Good to hear.
Most marine electronic manuals are a bit weak. With all the software updates it's almost impossible to stay current. But the units are not
to hard to figure out. Just lots of features, and more to come.
