I was wondering if anyone else is doing this? I have been doing this the last couple of weeks in two different lakes and rivers. And have been getting great results. I have been rigging a number 4 hook and a enough weight to keep it on the bottom. The minnows are medium size. I have tried up to 5 minnows and still catch all sizes of walleyes.

I do it all the time jigging..
Especially in winter when I have a hard time finding minnows large enough.

I only do it when I think it makes a difference for the bite. If they need the larger profile then I will go to 2 or 3 jumbo minnows. I only prefer it when it makes a difference for the bigger hogs. If I am hooking smaller fish as well and it doesn't seem to matter whether it is one minnow or 3 or 4 then I stop as it is a waste of minnows.

does anyone ever use two minnows or Gulp minnows on a spinner crawler rig behind a bottom bouncer?

You can but need to watch to see if it starts to twist the line instead of just the spinner spinning. Sometimes the whole rig spns if it gets too much out of balance.

Many times. sometimes piggy back style, sometimes one through the lips and one through the tail. The fish tell me how they want it!!!!!
Like one guy says the size of the bait available sometimes dictates 2 or more on a hook.
