My question is if i buy a 55# 12volt motor will i be dissapointed i didn't go 24volt for the whole system ? has anybody been using a maxxum 55# 12 volt with 2 batteries in parerall?if so how much time are you getting? Also have you heard good or bad about CABELA's model 2000 onboard charger? By the way most of my fishing is not done on huge lakes

I've used this set up for 3 years, and if I'm lucky, I'll get around 5 hours of use, 1750 tyee, running the troller a lot. This year, I'll be using a 24 volt, hope to see big improvement.

I run 12 volt in my boat with a autopilot, I did not think I was getting enough time out of my batteries. I had 1 batt. go bad on me so i went to a 29 series battery it made a big difference I now have 1 27 series and 1 29 series i can troll for a 12 hour day and still have battery left. I will replace my 27 with a 29 when it goes bad. Good luck. HAPPY HOOKEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Larry
