Well, It's been two solid months of fishing in my new princecraft boat and I'm still smiling like the day I brought it home. Rides great, spacious, 34 mph GPS with two guys and full tank of gas and I love the 60hp merc four stroke. That EFI is awsome and sips gas. I have fished two to three days a week consistently since opening day and have only put gas in the boat twice!!!!
I rarely see anthing on this page about princecrafts, and to be honest, I was skeptical when looking at it, but I would buy one again. Not being biased, as I also own a lund rebel and fish often out of a friends 1660 classic with a 75 yami four stroke.
So if anybody is every looking at boats, don't just narrow it down to lund/alumacraft. The princecraft has the same fishability and performance and a much lower cost :)

Where are you from northerneyes? I am assuming you are canadian? I think that Princecrafts are readily available up north here in the old land of the maple leaf and syrup but for our American friends they are not really an option for them as there are not very many dealers who sell them down south.
For that matter there are not all that many dealers selling Princecrafts outside of Ontario and Quebec. Although they really are very nice boats I agree.

Realistically, when push come to shove, all that matters is that the captain is satisfied with his vessel. Not what name is on the side of the boat. Good luck and glad you are enjoyin the boat:)

princecraft are owned by brunswich, the same company that owns Lund, crestliner, lowe and a hole lot more brands to be named. my friend has a 188 dlx. i like it just as much as any lund. they are great boats. and if you buy a used one, they are cheaper than Lunds. i would buy one any day.

I actually live just west of duluth, mn. There is a dealer in Duluth. They don't stock many, as so many people are on the lund/alumacraft kick, which I can totally understand. They are SWEET boats and a dominator or explorer will be my next boat. I'm just saying that buying a not so popular brand boat has really worked well for me. It was 6 grand less than a comparable lund/alumacraft and I have loved fishing out of it. Best of all, most nights out I'm surrounded by 50K boats and i'm catching just as many fish!!!! What has really made the boat really fishable is the minn kota 55pd with auto pilot and universal sonar. Also my lowrance 522ci with the northern region navionics map. Overall, A SWEET set up.

They are popular up here in N. WI and good enough for Joe Bucher to partner up with. The seem to be very nice boats and I haven't ever heard anything bad about them.

if you google bucher and Princecraft, you get more info than you want with his Princecraft Boat and him endorsing it. Maybe he just switched when Heckels (one of his sponsors) went out of business? I always see him on his show in his purple princecraft...

In 2003 I bought a new Princecraft Hudson DLX SC which is 19 1/2' long. It's a little bit bigger than a Lund Alaskan 18, and a little bit smaller than a Lund Alaskan 20. It's now 5 1/2 years old, and it's in great shape.
The boat is run year round in salt water here in Miami Beach. It's only been in fresh water once when I took it to the Everglades. Since 99.99% of the boats in Miami Beach are glass boats, other boaters are always checking out my boat, and asking me questions about it.
The hull itself weighs only 740 lbs. For such a light hull, the ride is surprisingly good. The beam is only 7', and I wish it would be wider (like 8' or 8 1/2") just so the boat would have more room inside.
Princecraft makes their own trailers, and they are custom made for each different model. The trailer fits the boat like a glove, and it's a pleasure to use.
If I trade this boat in some day, I would get a Starcraft 196 Fishmaster. The Starcraft is about the same length, but it has 3 main advantages over the Princraft.
It's 8 1/2' wide which is 1 1/2' wider than the Princecraft.
It has a 25" transom instead of the 20" transom on the Princecraft.
And most importantly, the Starcraft has a 19 degree deadrise, where the Princecraft only has a 10 degree deadrise.

Love my Princecraft, it does sit a little high but it rides nice and keeps me dry.
