Would those of you that use this unit be willing to share what you run
you settings at? Greyscale , Depth, Sensitivity, etc... I will experiment when I can get on the water. I'm using the simulator on my
computer now.
Thanks in advance

I am costantly changing the sensitivity for diff. depths. Also if there are a lot of baitfish I will turn down sensativity. If I am looking for bottom feeders I will enhance the grayline. Just sent my mt back to lowrance. It just stopped working. I have power to the graph. There is an arc mark on the power connector. The graph is onlt 4 months old. I am interested to see what the company will do after I spent 800 dollars.

I set my x-15 at almost 80% sens. and 50-60% grayline so that I will receive approximately 5-10ft of surface clutter. My grayline usually will read 3-4ft more if soft bottom. I was always told the more sensitivity you use the beeter the sonar will operate because you are using more power. I do adjust quite a bit but not to far from those settings. oh ya, also set your depth to 5 ft below bottom to get maximum power of your sonar impulses.

Run the unit in MANUAL mode. I set the Grayline at 60-64% and adjust the sensitivity to suit conditions- water clarity and depth are the major factors- usually 80 to 90%. Set the depth scale to jibe with how your fishing. For instance, if your jigging 30' there is no need to have the top 20' water on your display. Run your chart speed at max and set your keel offset for the transducer depth. Good Luck.
