The third Pro Challenge went great, but don’t take our word for it. Here is another testimonial from a happy participant.
“The entire concept of The Fishing Crew Pro Challenge is incredible. A $20.00 ticket provided me a day I will never forget. It was an outstanding day on Lake Oahe. The weather was perfect, the water was crisp and clear, the fishing was fantastic fun and excitement and the company of professional fisherman was outstanding. The underlying purpose of this event is by far the most meaningful….Cure for Kids Cancer. I still have to pinch myself that I really was the lucky ticket holder and had the opportunity to fish with pros; all for such a wonderful cause. Dave Underhill, host of The Fishing Crew was so personable and welcoming. He made Jim and I feel right at home with his crew.

John allowed us such a wonderful experience of fishing with him and showing us many fishing techniques. My most cherished moment of John was when he shared his secret of how he won $50,000 in a past fishing tournament. With his help, I colored with sharpies a special lure that looked like smelt. On the bottom of the lure I wrote the names of our two sons, Sam and Mitch. At the end of the day, John thought to give me this lure as a special keepsake of the day. John is not only a super fisherman, he’s a great guy. This is a fabulous concept! One worthy of continuing for years to come. A $20.00 ticket provided my husband and I a priceless day of memories. Everyone, regardless, if you fish or not, should buy a ticket to benefit such a wonderful cause. You’ll never regret it! Jim adds it was the best $20.00 we ever spent!!
P.S. Congratulations to Bryan and Ryan! The friendly competition between challengers and pros made the day more exciting. They are certainly deserving of their professional status. Thank you to Dan Stier for the helpful pointers you provided. Such an honor to met you!”
Best to you,
Ann and Jim Hamilton

Hunter showed that he can compete with the pros by landing a seven pound Walleye and then followed it up by reeling in a five pounder. Hunter told Fishing Crew host Dave Underhill that it was the biggest Walleye that he had ever caught and that he wants more cancer survivors to have to the opportunity to join up with the Fishing Crew and spend a day on the water with the pros.
