View Full Version : 3m propore/frog togs
i just left the mpls sport show with a set of 3m propore rain gear. its made by rain shield. i was absolutly amazed at how light and strong it is.ive had lots of gore-tex and still have a top set so i dont need any lectures on that but i'm interested to see if anyone has tried this stuff. its about $70 set. i've heard people talk about frog togs on here but never seen them. are they a similar type product. these are pretty ugly but really seem to be a great product for hot summer time use. they weigh nothing. they are some kind of really weird paper feeling fabric. anybody used them?
I think you have the exact product under a different name.
Iwould never trade my F Toggs, love em. But they are limited in that they are not warm at all. They cut wind great.
Two yrs. ago it rained every day in Canada, so.....wore my
Frogg Toggs all day every day. Not a single leak. They look
flimsy but they cut the rain and wind. When they get totally
drenched they seem wet on the inside but are totally dry.

Hawg I bought both my wife and myself a pair at the same show. I hope they work. What noone ever talks about with gore-tex is that it cannot stand compaction. If you stand up you will be dry forever but if you sit for long you have a wet butt. This stuff looks like the cure. P.S. I also have top of the line gore-tex so please don't start bashing me either.

Women have been feeling that weird paper fabric for a very long time! wink wink! hahahahahah
Can you guess what it is now?
I have had the same set of froggies for over two years now and have washed them a couple of times too. They still work! I will often wear a set under my good gortex for extra insurance against the elements. So far so good.
