I would think the same (SD and MT). However, ask the guys on Archerytalk's bowhunting forum: http://www.archerytalk.com/vb/forumdisplay.php?f=4

G & F says goats are down 20% from last year w/ Harding County hardest hit. I had planned to return for a third try at filling a tag but I wasn't able to do so the two previous years so I'm not sure about this season. Also, G & F is saying it's due to the harsh winter but we saw many (21 dead in one spot!) w/ EHD: a contagious blood disease they get from gnats due to the wet summer last year. I am thinking that had to have an effect as well. I guess that's the only consolation for not getting one last year.

i heard a guy in siouxfalls talking about how thick they were this year out there but havent heard it from any where else, and the rut is about the same to they do alot of running around that period and wheezing, ive aeen them doing it the first of october to during gun season depends on what the moon is doing when they start
