two wks ago or so i posted a question on how to prevent bobber stops from hanging up the line when you cast and i forgot to check the post so sorry i was negligent and now i can't find the post so if any forgiving soul is out there i'd appreciate any tips on preventing the bobber stop from hanging up...which seem to be least likely to do this etc..steve

they are never foolproof, just cut the strings as short as possible, baby it a little and you'll be fine. the string ones hang less and are more dependable than the rubber or the springs.

Try waxed dental floss. Works well for me.
