and was wondering if anyone might have a similar rig that they can comment on? I have owned a Lund 1700 Angler SS with a 75 HP Honda the last 10 years and I'm looking to trade up to a:

Lund 1800 ProV SE with a 150 HP Honda

I've had a super experience with my current Lund and Honda, thus I want to stay with that brand "combo" (Lund/Honda). I'd be interested if anyone can give me any insight into how such a rig will perform. What kind of top end speed might I expect? What prop pitch might be the best performer? What bow mount trolling mount is best suited for this rig? Any other insights?

Thanks in advance for any feedback!

You may have to find an 09 or earlier 1800 Pro V - the chatter is the 1800 Pro V is no longer in the lineup. Any Lund orders now will be 2010's, so your time to spec one from the factory may already be over.

If you'd like to pm me, I can provide a contact that has and 1800 IFS with a 150 Honda to speak with. I know he loves his boat, he and his wife use it all the time, but he's not on this board. Sorry I don't know any of the performance questions your asking.

I would consider a I.f.s with the full windshield, if you fish any big water, just my 2 cents.

I did know from the dealer that the model year was rolling over to 2010's in July and he didn't know yet what the line-up would be for 2010. Bummer if the 1800 isn't on the 1010 list. I may have to see if he can do a dealer search to see if any 2009's might be around.

I was mulling that around but currently have a single console and I really like it and the way we fish out of it. I do see your point, I need to crawl in each style and see (hope that's possible somehow before purchase!).

I am runnign an 08 1800 prov dual console with a 175 verado. I love it. Its big enough to tackle big water with ease. I get 53 mph (gps) out of my boat and like most Lunds it planes out VERY quick (if they are not underpowered).... I wish I would have gone with a single console instead of a dual. But its def. nice to have the dual when the gf comes with me. I have to keep her happy!

Also, I hate having a black boat, do yourself a favor and get a white rig. Black looks amazing when its clean but looks horrible when its dirty:(......

I would guess with a 150 honda 4 stk you would be getting high 40s maybe 50 mph on a good day, just a guess. ? Any questiosn just drop me a line:howdy:

I have a 18' Dual console SE with a 175 Opti. I'm getting the same performance as Team Lund. I really like the looks of the bubble windshields, but wish I'd gone with the IFS walk-thru - hard to hide behind those bubbles when it's 34 degrees and sleeting. Have a 62" shaft Maxxum on the bow - got the boat a year before they came out with the Terrova. Plan on upgrading to one of them this Spring. C-man

I have a 2004 1800 PROV IFS with a 150 Honda that has been running between 42 and 44 mph on the GPS depending on the water and load. I put a Honda 3x14 ¾ x18 stainless prop that was recommended by the local dealer on when I bought it. The rig runs at about 30 or 32 mph at 4200 rpm and is really easy on gas if that matters and will idle down to about 2.5 mph. You will probably get more speed with an SE because of less weight. Good luck I hope you find what you are looking for seems a sad day when the 1800 is no longer available it is such a versatile boat to fish out of and tow and store.
