Sucks for those guys who had thousands of dollars stolen from them last night. Unfortuantely I have only been a victim of theft once in the last four years of traveling the country and guess where Oconto. Probably the same guy(s). Heres hoping karma catches up with the thieves.

We're farther North on Green Bay. The MWC is going out of Menominee, MI this weekend, but break ins were here and in Marinette, WI.
It's believed to be kids, but who knows...it could be anyone. Either way it sucks when people steal other people's belongings that they worked hard for.

If you let your pet pitbull sleep under your boat cover with a bowl of water, would he be ok or do ya think he would get to hot and bite someone crawling under your boat cover cause he was mad?

Good News!!! 2 People were arrested yesterday afternoon for the break in's. We put up a $500 reward and in less than 6 hours after it was announced in the morning paper, we had a name and a arrest. Almost ALL Gear has also be recovered and I will insure they get their stuff back. Thanks all MWC Anglers for coming to our town, we hope to see you in 2011.

Kudo's John to you and your organization for stepping up with the reward that ultimately led to the arrest's. That was a great thing to do and I have no doubt there will be some relieved and happy anglers..

Thank you, RJ in Montana

John:
I want to thank you, the M&M Great Lakes Sport Fishermen, and the Marinette and Menominee Police Departments for your hard work and determination in bringing the persons involved in the boat break-in's to justice. I sincerely appreciate the communication, cooperation and rapid response from all involved. It's a shame that a few bad apples tarnished what was otherwise an extremely well run, challenging and fun filled event. Other than the unfortunate thefts, I enjoyed the time I spent in the communities of Marinette, Menominee and the surrounding areas. Thanks again to all for the job well done in apprehending these criminals!

Sincerely,
John Csizmadia

I know this thread is a few months old but I just found this place yesterday.Johns post makes it sound like the 500.00 is what prompted the guy to turn in the two thiefs. The guy that turned them in did not know of any reward and was just doing what was right. But the reward was a good thing, and apprieciated.
