Propman (or anyone else),

Do the Powertech 4-blade props accept the new "quiet hub" design by Powertech? I was told that only the 3-blade props can use the new hub design by Powertech. I hope I am wording this thread properly. By "quiet hub" I mean the new patented design by Powertech that has the rubber (??) in the hub to make shifting quieter. Thanks.

Its called the cushion lock hub, they are pretty much stanard on all the v-6 props 3, 4 , 5 bladed props, they can also be special ordered on the smaller mid size gear cases. They work pretty good, but they still have a little prop rattle still in the 4 stroke motors. They shift very nice with no clunking noise.

Thanks, Propman,

I have a 150 Yamaha 4-stroke tiller on a Ranger 620T. On a previous thread you had suggested a 4-blade 19 pitch Powertech to get my rpms up, a better hole shot, a bit slower trolling speed, and little less speed. (I am running a 21 pitch Yamaha 3-blade).

Would the V6 series prop you are talking about fit the 150? Can you suggest what series I should look at? There seem to a lot of choices from Powertech (i.e. Offshore and others).

Thanks much for all of your insight.
