How has the fishing been on Pepin since the 4th? Where are they finding the walleyes? Have the stripers started feeding? That can be some pretty fast action when they heat up.

Thanks for any infi

Had two friends just come back this weekend, said they did all right. Fished mostly leadcore, with blacknsilver, olive, and crawfish looking baits. 18-25FOW. Put in a Lake City, trolled 2.5-3.5mpg. They said they could see Burger King where they were catching the fish. I hope this helps. A 26, 2 25s, 3 23s, and some nice saugers.

Joe, Duane got back last night (comes home every couple weeks to mow & such) and said the fishing was decent. He was out for 3-4 hours on Sunday afternoon with another guy and said they caught 5 keepers. I didn't talk to him long, but he said they've been in deeper water. I'd assume for where he usually fishes that means 16' or a bit deeper.

Also talked to a guy at Cabelas yesterday and he said his son caught a 50 something inch sturgeon on Pepin this past weekend. Sounded like it was quite a tussle on 6lb Fireline.. :)

I was thinking of going up to Pepin on Labor Day, anybody heard anything? Any info would help.
Thanks.

I know it's after Labor Day, but the report I got last night is that it's very slow unless you're fishing for catfish... :)
