I'm getting a Dominator 175 with an Etec 130. Does anyone run this setup? If so, what SS prop do you recommend? Top end speed is not my main concern. I'm interested in hole shot, mid-range punch, and the ability to pull the kids on tubes and skis from time to time. I'd like to hear anyone's recommendation. Thanks.

If I remember right this boat is rated for a 150 and thats what I would put on it. I was initially looking at this boat before I decided to go glass and was gonna do a dual console and max HP. I think the performance reports show 50+ mph with the 150. Haven't seen any performance #s for the 130 as this motor just came out this year.

There is a current thread running on the board about a 135 opti. Take a look at the responses and you'll see that the 130 on your 17' boat will be just fine. As to prop there will be someone that knows your motor that will respond. Likely it will be a 19p SS of some brand. I know the tempest plus in that size has been great for me but don't know anything about the e-tech. Enjoy your boat!

I have a 2010 crestliner superhawk 1700 with full windshield and 130 etec. With a 13x17 stainless i get 45mph with me, the wife and 100lb dog. I picked 5mph going from 13x19 alum to 13x17 stainless. I rev at 5250 wide open. With just me in the boat im at 52-54mph on the gps. kyle

I thought this may help. I have a 2008 Alumacraft Navigator 175 with the dual console set up and a Yamaha F-115 and F-6 kicker. Fully rigged I get 42 mph on a good day and 41mph consistently. I have had the boat up to 44 mph running light with a 13X18 pitch Power Tech and the prop I run day in and day out is a 13X17 pitch Power Tech 3 blade. I could not get the rpms out of the 18 pitch Power Tech with the boat loaded and that is a situation you want to aviod with the F-115. If you go with a Yamaha kicker dont let any dealer talk you out of the F-6, it is an awesome kicker without all the bells and whistles of the T-8 but my goal was to keep the weight down. 80 lbs versus 125 lbs and about $600-$800 cheaper than the T-8.
Good Luck
