View Full Version : Pinpoint Motor Not Getting Power

Both the motor and attached depth finder are not getting power. Power is getting to the motor head, circuit breaker is OK. It worked first day in Canada last week, next day, nothing. Does anyone have a suggested fix? How about a schematic/ expected point reading map?

I tried the silicone grease remedy I usually recommend to others, it is more than that.

Thanks,

Sounds like the switch that turns it off when you put it in stow is bad. call Motor Clinc and pick their brain. 952-881-0898. Wiredog

Wiredog,

Thanks for the response. I talked with the tech there, am going to try the less expensive (might work) switch option, as such, but was told if it doesn't work, option #2 may not work either, and mega expensive.

I burned up a PP motor years ago and wanted another. I looked hard and long and found a slightly used one WITH a 7520 graph to go with it for $250 pnly 90 miles away. THE deals are out there if you do a little searching. IN fact I think there is a guy in town here that has two Pinpoint 36V units, one working and one for parts; give him offer type deal if 36 V works for you I could get you in contact with him.

Risto,

Thanks for the response. I am trying the less expensive approach, but may be in the market for a used 24v unit if this, or a potential other solution does not pan out. Thanks for your concern.
