I already had a Dual Pro two bank charger in the boat, but needed to also charge the main starting battery since I frequently keep fish in the livewell overnight. So I just spliced wires to a new 6 amp charger into the main plug-in and ran them back to the starting battery. Still only have to plug into one source. Works great. A less expensive alternative to a new 3 bank charger.

3 bank 15 amps per bank. Dual Pro is rated the best and they are usually sold everywhere. I have had only 1 question for thier customer service department and it was answered quickly.

Dual Pro has treated me exceptionally well also. I will indeed buy another if and when I ever need one.
You can call their customer service department and get a "refurbished" unit at a great savings. That is what I did when I wanted to replace my old charger. I was leery of a "refurb" at first, but I have used it for 2 years now and it has performed flawlessly.

Guest 2 bank 10 amp X 8 years now. Been working great as long as I remember to hook up ALL the wires in the spring when it is time to go fishing!! Also have a single Guest portable for the starting battery. Been great also and a little more portable to use on the auto if/when needed.

I am also a Dual Pro customer. I screwed up and tore a wire while installing and called their customer support. They are fantastic to work with. The chargers are very solid. I agree with anyone else- Do a 3 bank 15 or 10 amp.
You will see here that most of the hard core group is using Dual Pro.
They are readily available.

My Minn Kota charger is on its 3rd year with no problems.
Customer service for previous trolling motors has been very good.

I agree - ProMariner! I have the 3-bank model and it's very quiet. The Dual Pros I had sounded like electric razors. I was told they had a bad run of transformers a couple of years ago. The ProMariner seems to generate far less heat than my old Dual Pros. The Guest chargers also have a good track record.
