Any suggestions for a prop. This is a new motor and don't eant to pay the dealer 150.00 for an alum.

The answer depends: how big is the boat where this 60 horse is mounted? 16'- 13-15 pitch. 17'- 12-14 pitch, pontoon, 10-14 pitch, and so on.

It will go on a 20 ft. Lund Alaskan tiller. Thanks

My guess will be a 12 or 13 pitch.

I had to go down to an 11" pitch when I had a Merc 60 4S on my 17' Lund Explorer tiller, in order to get it to plane with (3) 200+# guys and gear. For a hull that's rated for 115hp (tiller), why the 60?

The Mercury web site prop finder will help you. If it's just you, the motor and the boat, a 12 pitch may be OK. If you're going to load that boat to its max, you may need a 10.5 or 10. You won't be the fastest boat on the lake, but that's probably not your goal.

I have that motor and a Lund Angler 16 - 13 pitch standard painted prop.

Works fine. Which is relative. My bro and I are about 550# of cheese pack, I have gone thru the boat and lightened it of extraneous crud. Normally gets up on plane fairly easy. It runs 26mph GPS.
