My Lund 1660 Classic gets condensation behind the gauge glass, sometimes it takes days to evaporate.
Is this common and is there anything I can do to prevent this?
Thanks.

Let the sun heat the gauge and evaporate the moisture. My gauges heve been doing that for years, it doesn't seem to harm them.

My first tach never did it, the new one on my new boat does it all the time. It is usually on the bottom half of the gauge? The tach is wired with the light on all the time the switch is on, the factory for gauge said that would help. It will clear up after about 3 hours......

I've had it on just about every boat I've ever owned- sometimes with just one gage, sometimes with more. I tried drilling tiny vent holes in the gages on an MFG I owned in the 70s, but this just made things worse. I agree with the other posters- let the sun dry them out.

I had the same problem on a new Lund with BRP tach and speedo. The dealer changed them and I have not had a problem since.

Don't worry about it, it's happened in every boat I've had or been in.

Thanks everyone, it's nice to know this is relatively common and not a big deal.
