101 troubles

I left my lowrance unit on for a week in the garage. Weather was 100 degrees. It was the one on my 101. Now it interferes so much when I push the foot feed it draws solid black lines. I figured I burned the ducer out and was wondering if you can change it out. Looks like it has screws around the transducer.I hope it isn't the lcx.
Any help is appreciated.

If you are talking about the UniversalSonar, I had that transducer replaced by a MinnKota Servive Tech. I remember he have to take off a lot of the parts to have it done. Maybe is me not being handy but that job looks a lot to me.......Cable of the Transducer have to go all the way up the shaft.....he opened the lowerunit~part and the top~cover (where the Direction arrow is)........... I know I am not helping here but I just want to let you know if you are not Handy at all like me, I wouldn't touch it myself.
