Previous 3 days was 70's and spotty showers. Weather was partly cloudy and 75° all day. Water was clear and 1-2's becoming flat with water temps around 74°. Started out perch fishing with a pack in 41 fow. Caught 2 dozen with biggest being about 11 inches. Started trolling at 1 p.m. and headed to east cup of sand bar. Caught 2 walleyes before arriving at trolling pack. Lots of sheep for the next few hours. Around 7:30 things heated up and at sunset, we had 3 walleye on the last 6 poles we pulled. Caught an equal distribution between boards and dipsies. Caught all walleye between 35-45 feet. Caught 9 eyes at 3-5 pounds each. Best rig was small spoons with monkey puke stingers. Also caught 10 white bass and a 7 pound catfish.

I've been catching eaters (18-25") off Ruggles/Vermilion. Worm harnesses, inline boards, 1.3 to 1.8 mph. 2 oz 70' back, 1 oz 90-100' back for 25' of water. adjust accordingly for different depths. fish are scattered in various depths, keep looking and you'll find pods of active fish.

For spoons this time of year i run most of the day at 2.1-2.3 mph on GPS. When it starts to get dark, I slow down to around 1.3.
